Pori Moni (Bengali: পরীমনি; born 24 October 1992 as Shamsun Nahar) is one of the rising actresses in the Bangladeshi film industry. She started her career with modeling. She made her acting debut in the fim industry through Bhalobasha Shimaheen released on 13 February 2015. Her first shot film Rana Plaza with actor Symon Sadik directed by Nazrul Islam Khan, was postponed by the censor board. She is also co-producer of government funded movie Mohua Sundori (মহুয়া সুন্দরী), directed by Rawshan Ara Nipa.
Pori was born in Kalia, of Narail district in 1992. At age three, her mother died. Then, she was gone to her Grandparents who lives in Pirojpur District of Barisal Division and spent her childhood there. She also completed her SSC and HSC from there. Her grandfather is a teacher. From the childhood she wanted to be an actress. Her father is Islamic Fondation DG in Bangladesh and he does not reveal identity for criticism and losing his job. Her father name is Shamim Afjal.
